These terms explain how to use the MARKA website and online services. The rental agreement supplied for your vehicle sets out the terms of your hire.
1. About MARKA
This website is operated by MARKA CAR RENTAL LTD, company number 16752609. Contact info@markacarrental.co.uk with website or rental enquiries.
2. Enquiries and availability
Submitting a car request is an enquiry. It does not reserve a vehicle, guarantee availability or create a rental agreement. Photographs illustrate models; the actual vehicle, specification and condition may differ. MARKA confirms availability, pricing, deposit, the requirement for driver-arranged insurance and collection details before you agree to rent.
Insurance and permitted use
Insurance is not included in the vehicle rental. Drivers must arrange suitable insurance covering the rental vehicle and its intended use, and provide the certificate and any supporting schedule for review before collection. Private-hire work requires appropriate hire-and-reward cover. Personal journeys are permitted only where covered by the policy and allowed under the rental agreement. Illegal use is prohibited.
Drivers must keep cover valid throughout the rental and promptly tell MARKA about cancellation, expiry or changes affecting cover. Do not drive without valid cover. MARKA’s document review does not extend or replace the insurance policy; cover is determined by the insurer and policy terms.
3. Approval and vehicle handover
An invitation to create a driver account does not authorise you to collect or drive a vehicle. Required documents must be reviewed, the relevant rental details agreed and the handover completed. Only use a vehicle when the necessary permissions and insurance are in place.
4. Accounts and accurate information
Provide accurate contact information and documents, keep your password private, and tell MARKA if you suspect someone has accessed your account. Do not use another person’s account, upload unlawful material or attempt to access records you are not authorised to see. Access may be restricted where necessary to protect the service or investigate misuse.
5. Messages and reminders
Email, portal and optional device notifications support communication. Delivery can depend on your network, email provider and device settings. Check your portal and contact MARKA if an important message is missing. A reminder does not change either party’s responsibilities under the rental agreement.
6. Website content and availability
MARKA may update content or temporarily interrupt the service for maintenance. Contact the team if information appears incorrect. You may view information and keep copies of your own documents for legitimate use. Do not reproduce MARKA branding or website content commercially without permission, except where the law permits.
7. Your rights and rental terms
These website terms do not exclude rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. They do not introduce rental charges, late-payment interest or cancellation fees. Your signed rental agreement contains the applicable hire terms. Contact MARKA before signing if anything is unclear.
8. Privacy and updates
See our Privacy notice for information about personal data. This page may be updated as the service changes. Changes to website terms do not automatically amend an existing signed rental agreement.
